Anyone ever use a PHP to SQL SERVER binding?

I am looking at doing a little bit of work with SOAP and SQL SERVER 2005 for an upcoming project, but yet will still be using a LAMP setup for the web front-end.

Anyone have any experience binding to SQL Server with PHP? Anything I should note?

Better yet, anyone have any experience using SOAP from C# to connect to a PHP SOAP service? I know there are a few limitation I believe with nuSOAP primarly with embedded arrays, but I can get around that.
