Its official
Well, I would say its about offical now. There have been little signs here and there but haven't been able to prove anything.
I have a virus. I call it SP2 but I like the term "virus" best. The final straw... I opened Visual studio 2003 to work on a project. Then when I go to compile I get the fallowing error... http://www.bja888.com/temp/debug-error.jpg Other obvoius traces. - IE crashes when the windws update site is visited - Trend Micro creshes when it tires to update - Video Drives cannot be detected by programs. I don't know how to fight this one. I am used to defending a computer after it reached the point of no return. I can end processes and disable start-up tasks but this isnt showing up anywhere I look. Suggestions? How to I re-enable Debug Manager? EDIT: Another point, my server uses a NAT Firewall thingy and I have a firewall on this computer as well. I hate windows... |
Just run msconfig and enable the service
lol, oops. I think it was me then....
In an effort to stop what I am pretty sure is a virus I disabled "Machine Debug Manager" because the manufacturer is "unknown". |
And i was getting all excited because i thought you were leaving the forums or something...
lol I should of though of that and lead you guys on more
Or you should just leave...
love you too!

bja888, there is nothing wrong with SP2. when you installed it was it after a clean install of windows? if not next time you reinstall windows, install sp 2 first thing then start installing other software and it should work fine. I have never had a problem with SP2 if installing after a fresh winxp install
Nothing wrong with sp2, nothing wrong with windows xp, it's just the people who use it and abuse it. My windows xp desktop has been running for a solid year without problems or virus. I've said this before and i'll say it again, before you complain about a software, check your facts. Most of the time, the problem is you.
Thats it though. I been running sp1 for the last year with very little proublems. Now that I got sp2 though proublems are popping up every where.
