How do I use perl to detect active windows on desktop?

Is there a way to use perl to detect what windows are there on the desktop?

I don't know perl, but you should google around whether you can call external dll functions and search on MSDN for a function which returns a list of active windows :) I can't help you further, i'm sorry :o
