hello world;
Hey everybody.
A few years ago, (in high school), I took a some courses on VB and *briefly* started to learn Java. Now I have a bit of extra time on my hands and am looking to get back into programming. A few times since high school, I began to learn C++, but I wasn't too crazy about it. Ive also learned HTML, JavaScript and CSS, but I don't think web is my thing. What I liked about VB was that it had a visual aspect to it, so I took a look at Visual C++ (a bit daunting, frankly). If anyone had any suggestions as to what I should try to move towards, I'd be very appreciative. Like I said, I really liked the visual part of VB and am looking for something along those lines. |

Hi, welcome to the forums.
If you do like the visual side of it, then perhaps you should try something like VC# as it is a better language than VB basic but still has the visual development to it. For a bigginer to programming i'll always recommend the same to people, Python. it is a great language to learn as a beginner as it is simple to learn, it also teaches you good programming technique'sand generally gets you in good habbits from the start such as writing clean code.
