Hi, I'm tierro

hi

I already answered a post before I actually found this forum,

Anyway, I stranded here thanks to google - I just keyed in Programming Forums, and it worked

I write code since my seventh (could I be a prodigy?) and I have most experience in Visual Basic - Nearly any basic, Vic 20, C64, Qbasic, Gwbasic (Lot's of old stuff I practiced on), Basic4Gl, VB6 - even VBA doesn't scare me

This summer I signed up at thedesignforums.com, where I'm having a good time as a mod. It just not very populated there. Those guys gave me inspiration for three projects I'm working/worked on:
JGT (A game timer named after the member who inspired me.) - <snipped URL>
MusicDrop (Basically my own idea. I just really needed something less laggy than WMP with autofade funstions) - <snipped url>
and Project V (A shell replacement, in which the previous two projects are intergrated) <snipped url>- currently offline

Also I'm a complete multiscreen addict. As much as possible is my slogan - I wired up three screens and a PDA as fourth 'sideshow'

I'm known as the 'big nerd' where I live, tho it occupies just a small piece of time. Mostly, it's homework i'm doing. I'm outside when possible.

I like... Girls:*, big speakers which can and will make lots of noise, music, lunchbreak :P and the line character: -
I don't like... art - especially the drawing stuff... ew, people who are going to decipher every abbreviation i use, the wrong way on purpose and people taking me too serious :-/

Lol, now that's me,
I'll be right back, I'm having lunch now.

Cool beans. Nice to meet you.

My advice: get off Basic. Learn a real language - pick up C++ or Java or something. If you must stick to Basic, at least pick up VB .NET/2005/2008 (Visual Basic 2008's recommended, being the latest version) - it's much cleaner, more efficient, more powerful and generally better than any other Basic iteration.

It's a term used when you hear the same thing over and over. For example, Learn C++ rather than BASIC. I have heard alot of people say that.
I was about to tell you off, but I then saw that you are from the Netherlands, you probably wouldn't have heard it before.
