Re: when did you start programming?
I was 14 actually. I was doing QBasic at school in computer studies. It wasn't till I was 20 when I thought I could do it as a job.

Re: when did you start programming?
I started when I was 12. I started working semi-professionally when I was 16. Still doing it... it's not as fun as it was when I was 12. ;)

Re: when did you start programming?
I started when I was 19, and I haven't learned much at all. I am still having difficulty with things I believe to be standard knowledge, But I have gained a bit of knowledge in many different languages as I am still going to school, part time takes along time. Hopefully I will land a job soon. :D

Re: when did you start programming?
Started with TI-Basic when I was about 12, learned C++ in high school when I was 16. I also considered myself good while in college, and I was by their standards. Too bad those standards don't hold up too far in industry.

Re: when did you start programming?
I wrote my first program when I was ~10 years old in a variant of Basic. For better or worse, I've spent nearly every waking moment since then writing code for something or another.

Re: when did you start programming?
I wrote my first program at my 14 years, in Applescript for Mac OS. Oh, boy was I happy for that!
Afterwards, I got more involved when I finished school and went to University... Turns out I know many things better than my professors there, but I still haven't reached a point where I can consider myself a good programmer. I am still trying to make something that will actually be useful to many people (apart from the OS X FS2_Open Launcher). |
