Lotus Approach + VB2005 Xpress

Does anybody know if you can use an approach database with VB'05 Express? The only 2 inherent datasources included are MS Access and MS SQL Express. I looked on MS website, and it is stated that this is a limitation, but that the connection string can be implemented programmatically. I've searched Lotus' website and MS' website, and also Google'd and Live'd for a solution but I can't find anything on it specifically.

In school, we created connection strings using the VB 6.0 Database connection wizard, then copy and pasted, but since VB Express has a limitation, this isn't practical. Do I have to use a DB driver specifically for an Approach database? Will I have to locate and download such a driver and will it work with VB Express? If anybody can give me a kick in the right direction would really be appreciated.

I have also downloaded OO Base but I can't find any information about connecting to that either. My biggest concern is legal licensing, since I'm building an app on a work computer, or I'd go about it in other ways.

I did find that Approach uses dBaseIV, so I'm going to give that a try. I've set up an ODBC datasource and will see if I can get it working.
