I've been in programming for multiple years, and my knowledge is cobol and RPG and I am wanting to learn java to expand my programming horizon(s). I don't do well with books, and if there was a way that I could view it (in an online tutorial or course setup) than I could add it to my language vocabulary. Searching provided nothing much similar so any replies would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Don

dlsstrick: Wow... cobol. Yikes :) I was thinking about trying to learn it, is it very hard?

As for Java tutorials, theres a whole bunch of them on the Sun website:
http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/java/index.html

Its a bit strange to navigate, but the tutorials seem pretty good. I use 'em every once in a while to find code snippets to remind me of stuff I can't remember off the top of my head :P

Good luck learning Java! I programmed in C++ for years, and in the past year or so learned Java and its quickly becoming my favorite programming language. Hope you enjoy it :D
