Releasing program as trial version.

I would like to distribute my program to the public domain as a trial version. I wanted to put it on sites like download.com, etc. But not sure as to how to go about doing that. The question is NOT how to make a trial version, it is HOW do I send it out to the masses for use? Does anyone have any suggestions?

I don't suppose you went to download.com, clicked on "Submit Software", and read the "Listing Packages" material?

Just found the link at the bottom, I overlooked it. Thanks.

Wasn't expecting a 8 to 12% fee. Anyone have any alternatives to download.com? I'd like to compare fees and such.
Would also like some sort of payment processing function on the site, I assume I could go through PayPal for this.

Create a website for this sofware. It's more professional.
