I hear it's common for programmers to also be accomplished musicians. Anyone play an instrument? I play lead guitar and also have some experience with drums. Played in a band for a while back in the day. I mostly play blues (SRV, KWS, Clapton, Hendrix etc.) and older rock(Skynyrd, ZZ, ACDC, Ozzy) but I've also been known to whip out some Metallica when I'm hopped up on whiskey. :mrgreen:

I play euphonium, trombone, piano, tuba and used to be able to play trumpet but i cant anymore. Was really good, but i hated the band director so I quit band, but i still play piano...

I play the piano (badly), but I did start learning the tabla (Indian bongos) last Monday - that's 4 days ago - and perform in front of 850 people on Tuesday.

I have played the Piano(havent played in a very, very long time), Violia(havent played in a long time since 95), and AltoSax( havent played since junior high when i quit band) i would like to get back into the violia and sax one day but dont have time or money right now. if i got playing on the violia i would probably try to pick up on the violin or in other words the fiddle ;)

used to play the guitar, but I haven't picked it up in months. Too bad, music is good for ya..

My main instrument is the trumpet. I'm constanlty using it with Jazz Band, marching, concert, and music theory.

I also play some guitar in my free time.
