Unassociate that file with the program it opens with. Maybe hidden the file?

I think that can be achieved through the registry, this article describes how to do it manually http://support.microsoft.com/kb/257592

For example... I'm tired of people watching videos on my computer. So I would like to be able to stop all avi files from opening. I could unassociate the file with the prog... but they can just use "Open With..."

Remove the extension. Maybe password protect? There are programs that you can associate a password to.

This isn't for a specific file. It's for any video that is on my computer. I don't want any of them to open. Removeing the ext is out of the question and so is passwording them. :(

1. Remove any videos
2. Remove the player

Why is password-protecting them or even the folder out of the question?
