i needed help for a site i am making...

i got the site up.. it an interanet site ..
what i was trying to do is give my ppl the basics trouble shooting steps of lotus notes and windows on the site .....
i did that ...

then i wanted that i can create a page that every one can edit .... so that any update (that comes in for temporay basis e.g any lotus app will be down.) now i wanna create this page that every one can edit .. and that hey can remove a privious update as well as put a new one ...
how to do that i have no idea.. can some one guide me plzz..

thanks in advance

this is what i posted earlier ...

let me clear my motto....
i need a page which can beare updates ..

like NMS (number managent system ) is down and i get call for it ... i go to this page ... put the message there or write it there . any one who wisites the site ... gets the message and adds this own...
now i again get call NMS is up and running fine..... i delete that message .....
and the updates before that are not deleted
i hope this is clear

Maybe its not as easy as you think... This will require some sort of database-driven framework, supposedly in PHP and MySQL. Those alone will take months to learn before you are ready to try programming this.

If you're already an experienced programmer, that will help. If not, I'd suggest just using MediaWiki.

For future reference, people may have been hesitant to reply because your post is pretty cryptic. It was difficult to wade my way through that. Try to avoid butchering the English language. Thanks.

thanks ... i will use php .. i will learn it .. to get any thing the easy way is not my type ...

thanks any way .... just one more thing .... do i need to go for advance php...

"Go for advance PHP"? What do you mean by that?

If you ever get frustrated, remember you can always try MediaWiki. It's free, and it's what Wikipedia was built with.

I think of it as reinventing the wheel.

DaWei Nov 29th, 2006 11:53 PM

Doing something the hard way when there is an easier way is not a sign of skill or cojones or intelligence. Quite the contrary.

when u do some thing the hard way u face ten problems and u do ten mistakes finally making a code u under stand to its roots. and then u can play with it or mold it any way.. get me ...

As DaWei says, the mark of an intelligent programmer is not to make life difficult for oneself.

Also, whilst English is presumably not your native language, it's rather difficult to understand you. At least try to use proper capitalization and punctuation.
