Job offer for anybody.

Hello, I am starting a company on the internet, and need a fluent programmer in php and mysql. I am good in the basics like CSS, HTML, and Actionscript, but have not learned PHP. I have a list of items that needs to be done, so if someone thinks they can do some of them please email me at KansasPrep@gmail.com.

I also realize that this wont all be in PHP, but am not sure what is needed.

1. Login system that keeps them logged in until they choose to log out.
2. A system where people can submit their pictures from their hard drive to my email.
3. A shopping cart that I can add and take away stuff from.
4. A setup so that I can post a picture on it's own page, and people vote on it, and it keeps tracks of the number of votes, and allows only 1 vote per person. Averages the votes as well.
5. Finally, a comment system where people can comment on the same pics they vote on.

Please email me if you will be able to some of these, or even them all. Thanks.

I would like this to be charity work if possible. Thank you. Also, if you do this freely, and my business succeeds to a small degree, we would be more than happy to pay you what the job is worth. GUaranteed.

I can do all those things. My charity work goes in directions of true need, however, and I haven't found it necessary to work on spec for about 30 years. You may find some takers among the less-experienced. The outcome is likely to be commensurate with that experience. If you'd like to contact me, you can find a means to do so amongst the things in my signature. I'm relatively expensive.

What would you like in order to get those things all done as fast as possible, but keeping good quality?

DaWei Nov 24th, 2006 11:47 AM

If that's your complete spec, then I can give you a fixed price quote. Note, however, that #1 is not a truly viable option. The internet is like a walkie-talkie, not a telephone. The connection is broken between request and response. Continuity is "faked" by using various mechanisms.

If the spec is not reasonable or binding or cast in concrete, then I charge $50 per hour. If you want a time estimate, contact me privately. I'm not going to publish my email in a post, though it's easily found, as I mentioned above.

I might be intrestted, but it depends on what benifits I can recieve from it. it does not have to be cash. If you advertise narfco on your main site I might be willing to ablige.

Send me an email at KansasPrep@yahoo.com and we can work something out.

Is this actually for charity? Or are you just comparing the pay to charity, as in free?

These might be typos, but the probability is declining rapidly. You, the OP, might consider if the same lack of attention and application applies to the mastery of the skills that you seek.

I would like ti to be free if possible, but would be willing to advertise on my site if you will accept that.
