Visual J#
Does anybody use it? I cant seem to wrap my head around whats the point of using it? I was gona download it but dont really understand the point, supposidly it has Java-like syntax and uses the .NET framework, is this right?
I don't know anyone that uses that language. It's a way for Java Developers to easily convert to the .NET. I would personally use C#. With some reserved word excepts and the usage of the .NET, it's basically Java, IMHO! I don't like J# at all. It's pointless.
Yeah I just couldnt figure out why one would use J# instead of C#, besides the obvious language difference.
What made you interested in J#?
I really like Java but I only use Windows so theres no point in me programming in such a language. So I've started transitioning to C#. Thats when I stumbled upon J#, and is thus far, quite pointless.
That's because it goes back a few years, into prehistory, and you aren't familiar with the corporate wars ;) .
Personally I think J# is a waste of a language(like java)
Why do you think Java is a waste of a language?
I'm guessing that it's the erroneous presumption, based on very limited experience, that virtually (tm Narue ;) ) every machine in the world is a Windows machine with a .NET framework.
Java is a hell of a language its just that, like DaWei said, is obsolete in this day and age. Microsoft is gona be around for a long long time, might as well conform to their operating system ;).
