Last link on the first page has some info on the basics, if that's what you're having trouble with.

So you want help with the method and/or the language but you're totally willing to abandon both?

no... you need to hand in code, and you need to do your homework. The link is (probablly) a good place to start.

shadyi, Sorry but we do not just hand out code to people, but if you have some code already and need help with it we will be happy to help you with your problems you have in the code you already have.

:)
it's not my "homework"
i'm taking a part in a phd trying to optimize something
my part is to get a library for this method
and link it with the results from the program we use "CFX BladeGen" to optimize resutls
i don't want to waste time on this method as we are looking forward to use genetic algorithms later on

help is appreciated

Well homework or not. You are going to have a hard time finding someone willing to just hand you code, Help with code you already have, is something we will help with but I don't think you will find someone willing to waste there time on writing some code for you if you don't even want to waste your time on it. Sorry

edit: anyway, I found this http://www.netlib.org/opt/hooke.c when using the search that POM gave you, it was the third item down.
