Icon

Is there a way to use a different type of file as the icon? I know the standard is .ico but I do not know how to make one.

There are a number of programs you can use to make icons. Just Google. My favourite's IconWorkshop, but bear in mind it's not free.

Don't you dare steal it, young man! ;)

Easy-Icon-Maker is really nice, but bear in mind that it dies after 15 days. It is, however, extremely easy to make icons with that program.

You could also draw you icon with any painting program and save it as .ico with InfranView.
