How can I convert a .bmp image to a .ico?

EDIT: Also, would anyone know of any good websites to get icons that I can use freely in my applications and websites (I am not that great at making my own yet)?

Solutions to this are all over the web. Further, if you have a decent resource editor, you can do it there.

Download Irfan View. Then you just open your BMP's or whatever and save them as .ico's. I think they have to be a certain dimension but don't quote me on that.
