Software Development In Process.......
Hey guys..... Can anybody recommend me any books on Software development and the process and steps it takes?
|
do you know any programming languages?
|
The software is going to be written in Java.
|
So you can start by learning java.
There are many tutorials available in the web. Just go to google, and type java tutorials. |
Perhaps maybe some of these articles will help?
http://www.programmersheaven.com/zone22/index.htm There are tons of articles on General programing and software dev in google. As for books, there probably arn't too many. Most books have code, because if they didn't, it would be dry as hell. The only books I have taht really talk about logical stuff are the Game Programming Gems series. They are extremly high end, and can be difficult to understand, but I read about 1 chapter, and did learn something. |
"Core Java" by Cay Horstman
"Learning Java" by Patrick Niemeyer "Head First Design Patterns" by Eric Freeman "Swing Hacks" by Joshua Marinacci (My favorite Java Swing book) there you go! I recommend this books for improving your Java and software developing skills. |
For a language-indepentent book, I've just started reading The Pragmatic Programmer which talks about general programming practices for good software development. So far it's been pretty good, but like I said, I've just started...
