Idea For My Special Problem

Hi.. I really need the help no people like you. I am a Computer Science student. I need to have a topic for my special problem. Can you give me ideas.
An example of a special problem proposed and implemented by a student in our school is a 3D postmortem report simulator using JAVA3D.
I would like to do something that involves image processing since I'm interested in it. Can you give me some idea. Please.... Thank you.

Why not talk to the end-user (doctor's, mainly), and see what they could really use?

The last thing I saw was someone was taking numerous "slices" of an image from head-on, and turning them to a side-of-the-head perspective, while preserving all the data into the new point of view, and increasing the contrast of the image, as well.

The end result was quite impressive, imo. The part of the brain that the doctor's were interested in seeing, was much more defined and in greater contrast, than before.

If you would like to see that thread, go to www.overclockers.com, and search back in the programming thread for my handle. It was in May or June of this year.

(Not my project, I just assisted a bit with some logic problems in C)

In general, I think you always get the best idea's from the end-user's, however. Lightyears better than asking around in a programming forum.

what are the rules/conditions for the "special problem"? you could make a program to solve the prime number series.

It should be something that can be implemented within 4 months..

Thank you for your suggestion. I have tried talking to people too.
