I don't mean anything by this, but I just dont like the misuse of the Term "Hacker", I feel you should use the tern "cracker" but this is just me.

you see I would esaly call myself a Hacker unde the terms of "An enthusiastic computer programmer or user" which is the orginal meaning of the word Hacker. A Hacker is someone who enjoys lerning and exploring computer systems and networks.

Thank you for reading.

Well I know what the term hacker means, but we are not using hacker we are using hacking. which according to google means

Quote:

Unauthorized use, or attempts to circumvent or bypass the security mechanisms of an information system or network.
it also means according to google
Quote:

Practice of raising animals in captivity, acclimating them to natural conditions and then releasing them into the wild (referred to in regard to bald eagles).
Remember that there are multiple meanings to alot of words. I don't know if you know but Geek originally ment a person in the sideshow act at a carnival who did disgusting things normally bite the heads off of chickens.

I am willing to change the rule to Hacking/Cracking just to make sure everyone knows what I mean. But actually breaking into others computers is normally referred to as Hacking so that is why it was used over Cracking

You're correct that it's not used entirely correctly. Neither is a hacker what YOU define it as (an enthusiastic blah blah). It's obvious you can tell what the rule is referring to. Don't be a sea-lawyer, just follow it.
