[IDEA] ASP.NET Web Control Panel
I'm wanting to do some research on the complexities of building a web-based control panel. I do programming with ASP.NET using VB.NET full time at work so I'm not unused to the .NET Framework BUT I don't want to get into something blindly either.
What I'm wanting to work with is IIS, MS SQL and MySQL and am planning on building in PostgreSQL later. I have yet to compile a full list of features I want to support. I am well versed in interacting with a MS SQL database and performing actions to it. However, I don't know where to begin on changing things like IIS settings, MySQL configuration settings as well as MS SQL instance settings among a plethora of other settings that make a control panel a useful one. Any advice anyone could give on going about researching this is very appreciated. Thank you, mjhoagland |
Google?
