Question A thought crossed my mind....

Isnt it easier to just modify the the files of a Win9x bootdisc?

Of the things i've read, it should be possible by editing the boot.ini file on the disk, or am i wrong?

Ive tried it out so it says like this
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=floppy(0)\stuffs
[operating systems]
floppy(0)\stuffs="Stuffs OS" /fastdetect

and it boots successfully and i can select which OS (as im testing on my PC with Win2K) and 'Stuffs OS' is on the list and after that im only getting errors that says a lot of text...can get the error text here tomorrow.

but is it possible to do as i have done, by changing a Win9x boot disc?
