Exclamation Hi i have a offer for you all!

Hello, my name is Cesto Ode. Im a scout for iMach Gaming, and we are looking for a coder to lead a small group.
We do not have a current group of coders so you would have to find them yourself.
i would ask you to try and work for free, but 25% of PROFIT is going towards the coders, so the leader will get all the money, and depending on what you want to do you can ether find a crew who will work for free or pay them, its up to you.

The game is going to be a Quest/Monster fighting mmo, and we are intrested in quite a few ideas, we have the basics at the moment, but as we develop the game im sure that we can add stuff as we go along.
This is open to anybody, and if you are intrested please email me at, cesto_ode@hotmail.co.uk
and we can talk feither, but i do ask for you to write some coding stuff that you have dont in the past to prove that you are up to the job.

thanks for your time,
Cesto

Might I venture to say that if you can't find the Job Offers forum, you probably can't find your butt with both hands, much less run a successful endeavor. Just a guess, of course. You might want to read this, and possibly the entire thread.

Looks like every other gamer wanting to make a game who comes through here. Could you please tell me why I would want to join your group?

By the way, "adding stuff as we go along" doesn't work quite as well as you might think. It usually involves something along the lines of "Oh shit, we didn't add this system before, now we have to go back and re-vamp the game engine... again!" I suggest getting your entire game down on paper before trying to write the game(in code), just so you don't run into as many conflictions.

Cesto: Not to pick on you or anything, but don't say you're going to be paying if you don't know for sure. I am going to take a wild guess and say you're attempting to make money off this, and the money made will be evenly distributed amongst the team. From what I've seen, anyone promising these types of compensations, are not worth the paypal transfer fees, or whatever. If you aren't %110 positive you're going to be able to pay, don't say that.

I think we need a sticky on "How to post a job offer". This is getting to be a waste of time. If it was a job worth while, we wouldn't have to ask very many questions.

Yeah, but we say that zero-dollar offers are welcome. Indeed, there's nothing wrong with a zero-dollar offer. What's wrong is the large number of people that are either fools, or take US for fools. Of course, a HUGE number of startup enterprises go right down the tubes every year. Guess why?

I think its that 60% (or more or some number :p ) of projects fail every year because of either poor managment, poor planning, or because they are overbudget. Somewhere along those lines.
