Counter-strike 1.5 (now 1.6) is awesome. I still play it. Counter-strike source sucks though.

The other ones you mention + Mario Kart, on the SNES are the best I can think of.

1) Diablo 2 LoD - That is an awesome game that I still go back to occasionall y- reall y well made
2) Age of Empires Series - really well made games which are fun to play with a lot of variety between games
3) Tetris - One of my all time faves - it rocks
4) Wolfenstein : Enemy Territory - Been playing it recently, its really good for a free FPS and very fun to play
5) Guild Wars - I got heavily addicted to it and it was great fun, until I had completed everything and got of gold farming
6) Metal Gear Solid 1 - wow great game
7) Neverwinter Nights - Great fantasy RPG, but its a bit old now
8) Sudden Strike - Requires good strategy so its fun to play
9) Pingus - My favourite game in linux
