'Course you can. It'll be harder than creating it in, say, C++ or C# though. Crappy support for game APIs. I recommend picking up a copy of Visual C# (http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/) and checking out Managed DirectX.

Can I write an 'x' in VB? Can I write an 'x' in 'y'? Can I write an OS in 'z'? Man, you're all over the place. Settle down. Make up your mind. Get busy. Or go back and ask mama for your binky and quit blowing Big K's bandwidth. You've offered us 12,000 jobs, which we get to do for free. Then you come ask us to do YOUR job, for free, too. Sheesh.

Couldn't agree more. Razr, you need to slow down, and actually learn one thing at a time.

No, RAzR, I think you're missing what they are saying. What's the point in asking what each language can or can't do? If you're having difficulty finding an appropriate language, there are threads dedicated to recommended languages for their significant features and purposes. Otherwise, hold back and learn the basics before jumping to extraneous inquiries.

Ok now here is my best effort to keep this out of flamewar territory . In VB you can use a timer (or at least in VB 6.0) that alows you to do things at an interval of the timer. If you want to you can "animate" something with the timer. for a full game you would probobly need a lot of timers. I hope that helps
