am i nuts or is it possible to make an o.s. in visual basic?

You can't make a complete, effective, responsive OS in VB. You can play around and learn with it, however.

VB is for MS Windows. The closest you could get would probably be some type of overlay, which is barley related to an OS.

I think C/C++ would be good.

A guy I know created a small, dos-like-OS in pascal.

Any low level langauge could probably do it. As mentioned C\C++ would be good, and probably best. Don't know much about pascal so I couldn't tell you. C is what they used to be written in.

If you have to ask this question, you're in way over your head. Step back a bit, and think up something you can create in, say, a couple of weeks. Perhaps, as you say, a simple game. You can learn to swim in the deep end, but it ain't much fun.

na man i didnt mean it that way ive done alot of stuff EXCEPT I MEANT LIKE a full out detailed game
