PHP 4 or 5
What would be better to start learning version 4 or 5. Just a question, I'm very new to PHP and want to start learning it heavily...

Doesn't really matter in my opinion. There are small differences between the two. I know PHP 4, and some 5. I use PHP 5, and have yet to run into a problem where a command im using doesn't work. The book I read covers PHP 4 and 5. It's the same code basicly, and points out code changes where applicable.

Learn 5. Version five adds a few more functions and improves a few more, and adds decent support for classes and objects. There's no point learning v4 unless your web host doesn't support v5.

Oobles word is true. Plus when you first learn 5 you probably won't be using any of the features new to 5 anyway.

I say learn both if possible, because 5 has more stuff, but 4 is what most webhosts have, or so it seems to me.
