Emacs for Windows?
Hi everyone! Ok, so I'm taking an introductory C++ programming course through the summer. We are using Unix on campus with an emacs editor. I was just wondering if you guys know of any software that resembles emacs that can be downloaded for Windows XP. Perferably free, but am willing to pay for it to a degree. If you know of any, thanks, and if you don't, no worries.
Thanks in advance ![]() |

Do you really need Emacs?
If all you need is an IDE and Compiler, get Dev C++. I've used it for 2 years now for University programs, where the campus uses Linux and Emacs/XEmacs. |

I just took Emacs off of mine. Still have VIM, though. Can a person still get Brief? I'm feeling nostalgic.
