I took a look on google when you told me about the PSDK, but couldn't find much help at all, apart from a load of threads with other people having similar problems, but no cure.

On *nix systems i use gcc. Windows i actually shelled out the bucks for Visual Studio. I can't stand MinGW or DevC++. No real reason, i've used 'em just fine. Just didn't enjoy it. (Not that I enjoy microsoft products, i just like it better then DevC++.)
Exactly, I too dislike Dev-CPP, a lot. Visual Studio Express works fine, and it works seamlessly with the PSDK, if you can't get it to work...well...I don't know how you're programming in the first place (No offense). <Brag>Not to mention I'm getting Visual Studio Standard for free sometime next week</Brag>, but then again I'm not the usuall 'anti-microsoft' type of guy, who thinks emacs or vi and gcc are what 1337 people use, and bash all things windows.

Visual Studio Express does it's job well and I like it for that.

Also, you can install mingw/mysis (Windows port of GCC and utilities) and then install Eclipse SDK with the CDT plug-in, it's great (Or kinda, probably Dev-CPP is better than it at that, but comon, ANYTHING, except Dev-CPP!)

Emacs + GCC maing. No better combo, emacs is just highly productive.. once you learn its amazingly different hotkeys that some consider a steep learning curve.

Dev-C++ also.. but Im currently looking for something better.. and not M$.

That's because in VS2005 you have to make a project to compile.

I heard code-blocks were good. Ask Ooble for more info.

MinGW Developer Studio is much better than Dev-C++. The file is over 100MB, though.

Code::Blocks was made by the ex-lead-developer of Dev-C++. It's basically the same thing, but a little more intuitive and (seemingly) faster.

Psst... Captain Morgan, vim forever! :p
