mySQL will be relasing their new clustering technology into mySQL version 4.1 and greater. Infact the code is already available in the code snapshot on their CVS. It implements the NDB main memory database clustering technology, which if kind of cool when you read about it:

http://mysql.mirror.nedlinux.nl/tech-resou...ine/part_3.html

Anyway, the major contract I am working on now is seriously investigating database clustering, they have purchased all the needed equipment (a long time ago when they first looked into clustering but gave up due to the lack of support by mySQL) which means that in the next week I am going to be given access to 4 computrons for the purpose of installing, configuring, and testing the functionality of the new NDB database conduit for mySQL.

I know there is nothing really important for me to post here, except for those who are interesting in learning about the technology with the link I provided above... it is just that sadly I am a bit excited about this Data clustering is cool!

The better mysql gets the more i can push it on my uni lecturers to use, as i think mySql is far better then oracle, esp for webside stuff.,
