I was originally thinking that I would keep a "last" pointer and have a couple of functions to find the next and previous from that, but I am not entirely sure how well it would have worked. The array method seems a lot clearer, to me at least.

Tenacity and commitment are all you need to writing a program if you work at it long enough eventually you will get it. Thats what i have learned...
