Hey,
As a guy who has never really programmed before (apart from HTML) i am very interested in Python (from hwat i have read). So i was wandering if it's the right choice for a virgin programmer like myself. |

Truth is, do you think it's good for you? You can learn any language that you want, some are just easyer than others. Python probally is a good place to start though.

If you ask "Is Python good for me" then it mose certainly is. That question shows interest in learning the language, and it is a very good language (So I hear. Haven't messed with it too much).

As sort of the Python guru of the site, what all do you want to do with programming? If you're just starting out Python is a great language for beginners since it teaches the concepts of OOP very well. It's also very powerful with a nice syntax. Is there specific you're looking to do with programming?

Since Python is interpreted, it makes learning on a try-as-you-go basis easier. Compiling a "Hello, World" program just seems like a pain in the ass, lol. But in the long run, do any of you see yourselves using Python a lot, or would it be more beneficial, say for me
, to go ahead and start to learn C or C++ now and have that much more time invested in learning the ins and outs of the language?
