/me thinks its from the fact that ! is the same key as 1 and just people press lots of !'s then they just miss or forget shift or something and put 1's and the 'eleven' is something humorous, could also say eleventy-one.
Think this comes from taking the ... from 'AOLers' and 12/13 year olds who type like that and other such awful things. "..it's making fun of l33t teenage AOLers who type much faster than their brain works" |

and "integer arithmetic" is not without its merits. oftentimes you REALLY DO want to truncate the remainder of some simple math operation. it's not really intuitive, but hell, that's what we (want to) get paid for.
