How do you work on a project with multiple programmers effectivley? Do you have to later combine your code or what?

You need a place on a server to store the code, and than you use CVS.

What instant messenger do you use? So maybe you could explain it better? How do you combine all the code you have done to finish the project, like, just copy paste or what? because when i tried to use two .app files it just said "main already made" or something like that..

Learn about breaking a program unto multiple source files, and than learn how to use a makefile to manage them before you take on concurrent versioning systems (CVS). I don't use chat clients.
