no, not the best way... every language has pros and cons... part of being a programmer is choosing the best tool for the job.

MS Visual Studio .NET is an IDE for development in several languages... including VB and C#... etc

Ha, so they wouldn't be as enthusiastic about several symbolic blocks of object code in a hex editor then?

my manager would be, he's as big of a geek as i am

VB .NET though, I feel the true usefulness of this langauge is for ASP .NET, if you know VB .NET you pretty much know ASP .NET

so you can kill 2 birds with one stone.
