Yup. I moved to C++ after that. It covers a lot though, all the essentials. Though it wasn't very clear when it came to linked lists, so I can agree with you for that part.

WoW! Hey! I was wrong about Sams Publishing, but still I don't think their way is the way for me, you know? I like Deitel & Deitel's books and also "for Dummies" series are good too.

My PHP book is published by SAMS, but it isn't an "official" Sam's Teach Yourself book.

My favourite C++ book (and most of the people in ##c++ agree with me here) is Accelerated C++ by Koenig and Moo. Go get it.
