Anyone with a career in computer programming

I'm expanding my other post since i was just curious to the relation between a programmers education and earning salary. I don't want to get produce any flame for asking for your yearly salary so hopefully a salary range (below) is more appropriate. I'm from Canada so please state the currency type if you choose to post anything.

Salary Ranges:
1. - 30,000 - 50,000
2. - 50, 75,000
3. - 75,000- 100,000
4. - 100,000 - 150,000
5. 150,000 - 200,000
6. greater than 200,000

If you feel as though i am being to specific simply enter example, 1 and 2, which would be interpreted as the (30,000 - 75,000 dollar range). On the contrary if you feel quite the opposite please free to be more specific.

Please do not forget to include the experience you have as a programmer and any post secondary education which you have acquired.

I'd imagine most people consider their salaries to be confidential.

Any decent headhunting agency will provide you with a salary survey for your area. The range varies widely, with some correlation to cost of living. In the late 90s, Minneapolis, Minnesota was running about 1/4 of the amount seen in Silicon Valley, CA. Phoenix, AZ was about 15% less than Dallas, TX, but the cost of living was comparable in the two places.

I've never heard of a coder that would earn over $200,000 per year; I don't think anyone else as either. Maybe unless he runs his own business.
