this is c++ related
Didn't know that they sell such garbage: Sam's c++ in 10 minutes?
the book Now after reading "Sam's c+ in 24 hours" i thought that the title was going far since it took me more close to 50 hours but this is ridiculus. On the other hand, a really good book is this one: approx 100 people rated it and it has 5 stars. Must be good. Anyone have experience with this one? Sam, my friends, is an idiot stick. Not only do his books tell me they can alter the way a human brain recognises new information after just learning it, he is saying anyone can read a roughly 630 page book in 24 hours(or less). I know I could do this, but It doesn't mean I know C++, it means I read the damn book. I would have to read it several times over in order to actually know the language. Even then, I would only know what he tought me. All of C++ wouldn't fit in a single book, weighing less that 50 pounds that is. Now reading a 630 page book several times over in 24 hours is obsered, rediculous, impossible(think of how tired you would get after the first time).

It's doubtful one could learn to even compile a program in fewer than 10 minutes, any language. Of course, if one knows how to do that, one might pound out a "Hello, World" in 10 minutes. Even that's problematic, given most people's rate of typing. Oh well, you know what P.T. Barnum said....

Ptshh, you guys are crazy. I learned C++ in 3 minutes flat, 10 minutes is slow. Of course, this may be due to the fact that I am The Supreme Ruler.

If you really want to learn the hows, the whats, and the whys of C++, read Bruce Eckel's "Thinking in C++". Both volumes. |

My first book I read on programming was "Crash Course: Programming with C++". The first page confused the hell outta me and then went to declaring variables! That made me drop C++ as a first language for me! "Java 2 in 24 Days" is also bull! I read the first 100 pages in 5 days and only knew how to type "Hello World!". I hate Sams Publishing! O'Reily is so much better!

Is that the only C book you've read?
