can somy one recomend me a compiler because i dont know it it is mine or if i am just a total screw up that is making this not work i am using devC++4.
u don't need another compiler. just take a working program then mess it up. remove a semi-colon, an opening or closing parenthesis, change a variable name etc. do it one at a time then observe the compiler error(s). familiarize urself witht the error messages so you know what the do the next time u encounter it.

ur not a total screw up, just a total beginner (in c++, if u have programmed in other language before). learn from this incident. if u post another program code with missing semi-colon and ask for help, then u really have become a total screw up.

happy coding!

you need the errors to learn from them, i rememer starting the first time i took a big program to make i had hordes of errors, now my main errors are using API classes incorrectly or mispellings.
