Depending on your level of experience it would probably be a good idea to further your learning of some of the languages you originally listed. I don't see how you can go wrong with an excellent grasp of C and/or C++. If you feel you're pretty well grounded in both C# might be a natural next step for you.

what languages to learn

What languages should you learn?

Since a lot of development work is going overseas, I would learn Spanish and start my own landscape company.

Good one. Besides giving a pointless thread reply, you drug up an old thread from the past. Good job.

Excellent reasoning. Since you're a newbie, let me advise you to read the forum's FAQ/rules and a "How to Post...." thread before you post your code for tuning up your lawnmower engines.

Do you mean knowing the syntax inside out or knowing how to code any conceivable problem? The latter would require, among other things, a complete knowledge of mathematics which I think is impossible under Goedel?

Spanish is all very well, but lojban sounds more suited to programmers!
