Bored!

I'm new to programming, and I like to think I catch on pretty quick. If anybody can think of some beginners projects and tasks for me to try to figure out, that would be great!

Been lots of suggestions, some even in the last two-three days. A little searchy wearchy might take care of some of the boredom, kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.

Sorry DaWei, i probably should have told him that. He works with me and i suggested that he come here and ask.

EDIT: He is noob enough to not know how to search, but not noob enough to make a working calculator? Every task i throw at him he accomplishes. Maybe you could throw a little something at him?

Search for "The PFO Scavenger's Hunt". There are a few really good challenges that really make you think. But don't reply to it, it's been dead for months.

How about a RPN calculator using one or two stacks? Or a method for converting a binary tree to a general tree that's reversible?

How about the suggestion from the other day?

Refuse input that doesn't qualify (e.g. two words, one number). This is not a difficult task if considered in advance. Unfortunately, a very large number of novices can't do it. It's an important skill.
