Not one for resurrecting threads however this seems to be ongoing'ish...

I can explain that the codec issue is due to the bitsPerSample being written to the stream before bytesPerSample - I had this error when writing this code in C# for a kick, it was a friend that then pointed out the structure error to me.

Well, the thread is not locked and an aspect left open, I provided a solution, it was ongoing until now, at least - also with the thread being referenced in a recent thread kind of brought it to attention.

We shouldn't have to be that hard assed. I don't really care in this case, but just FYI: resurrecting threads is generally frowned on. Even if it's perfectly legitimate, people may still chew you out.
