I think you need to read something that explains this a bit better. But here I go:
Firstly you'd partition your hard disk to split it up. As your using partitionmagic it would ask you for some details like type.and size in a popup box.
That would mean you have sorted out the space of where your partition is. Next you need to give it a filesystem as you are using windows, i'd go for FAT32 or NTFS.
Finally you have to mount the partition, this'll give it a drive letter and an icon in My Computer.
I don't own partition magic, but it should have menus and buttons to do all that.
