Please bear with me as I have just started learning programming.

I intend to learn Basic, but I do not have QBASIC in my computer. It's not in my XP installation disc either.
Do you people know where I can get a copy of it? Are there any other good compilers?

Another question:
I would like to program in the Windows environment. How can I do that with Basic?
