Im getting codec errors.. search for update like it said to and found nothing.

Can someone break it down and explain what this program does with a copy of explorer... and it it creates a WAV from it? how in the heck can an executabler be made into a sound?

Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Digital sound is just voltage levels encoded as binary values. Any binary value therefore represents some voltage level, whether you get it by rolling dice or using "explorer" as a source. Pack it with the appropriate descriptors prescribed by any of a number of "sound formats" and there ya go.

Read the posts not just the last few and you might get the idea of what the program does, there's been 36 posts on the subject by the way!

More interestingly,

yes UDev is far better > /dev/dsp

produces middle C!

How come you can only play tunes out the internal speaker with Win32 Beep?
