I didn't get a chance to try this while I was in class, but now that I'm home, I just did. Pretty cool, actually. It's almost haunting if you set the sample rate really low (like under 1kHz). I guess this sort of thing is the basis of white noise generators, but it could also be handy in a game, for example to do wind blowing or waves on the shore in realtime, with a data stream populated by rand().
