Tempest is right but, i think alot of it is just the computer itself.

Just be careful... Don't accedentaly install 2 virus scans at the same time. If you do you will have a lot more to worry about then just a worm.

It could also be a config problem in the registry. Though usually you would be notified of such a thing if your scan doesn't come up with anything try a system restore.

Maybe you've been a bad boy this year and this is Santa's response. That's a technically sound reason, right?

Heh, what happens with me is, I move my computer alot, to my freind's house and such. If you even bump the computer then the sound card slips out of place. I dont mind opening my box up and pushing it back in. When i built mine, I must have not tightened a screw or something.

I'm very paronoid about the way my computer performs and is functioning so everytime I open it up I have to unscrew and screw back all the screws and make sure all the plugs are plugged in correctly and make sure all card are hooked into PCI slots right and move all the wires out of the way of the fans. *passes out* You get the idea.
