I hate namespaces. I found I couldn't get my classes in the main code without them, though this makes absolutely no sense to me. Just more code to annoy you and split up your objects that is usually not needed

Well, the OP got his answer. Grumpy once wrote a really good treatment, which he capsulized very well in this thread. Mocker, maybe you'd like to show some code. It does cause difficulties if you declare them in header files, usually.
