Windows GDI i think may be what the anti-API people want.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I know programs function just as well from the command line, but a lot of people wouldn't go through the hassle of actually typing commands to the program. Anyway, I've decided to learn the Win32 API; it looks extremely difficult but I'm sure I'll eventually get the hang of it. Thanks again for the replies.

I -realize- GDI is an API ... it was suppose to be sarcasm... but I guess that was a bad choice since it was not known to the masses...
