setting up apache on Ubuntu -- no knowledge whatsoever

I would be interested to set-up apache on my Ubuntu system for the purpose of hosting files (basically online storage ).

The problem is, aside from knowing what apache is, I have no idea how to set it up, or how it works, or the things associated with it ( common internet lingo ).

Does anyone know of any slow guides that start at the beginning?

(or maybe even going over it now? )

Thanks

Note: I have been searching on google every once in a while, but the guides that I am looking for are written for Windows
